Ebrahim has spent more than 18 years in the financial services industry working in multi national companies including Deloitte and Citibank. After obtaining his post graduate qualification in Islamic Finance, he assisted in the operations of FirstRand Banks Islamic Banking Shari’ah Treasury department. He later started the RMB Islamic Banking Unit, which culminating in him pioneering Islamic Investment Banking products, including the successful origination, structuring and delivery of the South African National Treasury’s first Rand denominated Sukuk. Ebrahim has also gained experience of Islamic Finance in Africa, assisting Ministry’s of Finance in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as developing RMB Islamic’s first Trade Finance product for Tanzania. His knowledge, experience and contribution to the field of Islamic Finance was rewarded when he was recognised by Islamica 500, as one of the top 500 people making a positive contribution to the Islamic Finance globally. With his entrepreneurial mindset, he continues to solve problems and create solutions for humanity at large. Ebrahim is also very passionate about making a difference, and one of the ways he does this is by empowering the youth and learners learn better . He has written a book and created a system on how to learn better, and for these learners become the best versions of themselves.
